~ The Wisest ~
Welcome to the next menu! Here, we'll discuss the way you life will be going when you’ve mastered your WHOs. This section exists to be a sort of guide and test for if you’re making progress or not. The more often these chapters seem to match your lifestyle, the more difficult it will be to manipulate you. They're a sign that your traits are strong enough to love this way consistently.
Of course, as I specifically share untold truths, we will be building this foundation with some of the most unexamined Whats in our current society. This means less competition for you when trying to earn them, and more power to you once you have them, and it's all limited from the rest of the world by its high price online. For the sake of validity, I only speak in this menu about the Whats that I have personally used to feel fulfillment and security in my own life and in my relationships.
With this chapter, we'll be starting our journey with the What that is "wisdom".
You see, for me personally, I believe that wisdom can easily lead to intellect, but that intellect cannot easily lead to wisdom. We’re going to use some simple math here.
If: 1 Intellect + 1 Intellect = 2 Intellect
then wisdom is the actions of creating, and then solving the equation. In this case, wisdom is knowing how to add. To me, it seems that there is no way to directly measure wisdom because wisdom is not a thing. It’s an action. If you consider intellect like the building blocks of the mind, wisdom is the action of placing those blocks in different ways. It’s the very act of creating the connections. It’s not the connections themselves, and it’s certainly not the new formation you’ve made. All of those, are forms of intellect.
Wisdom is the action of moving the intellect around; the more freely you can play with the facts, the more wisdom you have. Sometimes this means placing facts together to build new shapes, new interpretations, or newly discovered, more complex facts. It's also about identifying and dismantling the unhealthy, or wrong, interpretations, tearing those formations apart, and rebuilding them better. Other times, it's simply about moving the facts around, just playing with new thoughts as a way to entertain the brain. Truth be told, there is so much more wisdom can do. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
I'll say again that wisdom is the action of making your brain act a certain way. Like how a man without arms cannot juggle with his hands, a man without wisdom cannot be wise. I know that sounds simple, but oh my goodness, the number of people who need for that to be said... It would surprise you. A man without wisdom will never know How to think, though people may teach him What to think.
The beauty of wisdom being an action is that, while it isn’t directly measurable, it is highly applicable. Addition can become multiplication.
2 Intellect x 3 = 2 Intellect + 2 Intellect + 2 Intellect
It can create subtraction.
2 Intellect - 1 Intellect = 2 Intellect + (-1) Intellect or 2 Intellect + 1 Lie
Or Division
12 Intellect / 4 Intellect= (12 Intellect - 4 Intellect - 4 Intellect - 4 Intellect = 0)
Once you reach zero, you count how many times 4 Intellect was subtracted. That’s just the calculation division is doing, in its purest form.
You can do exponents, factorials, and so much more. One form of system, one form of wisdom, can lead to countless new forms of it. Not only does wisdom lead to intellect; it also leads to more variations of itself, which one may label, if one is flexible, as “more wisdom.”
Wisdom is not a thing to be measured directly; It’s an action. You may be saying, "But Author, actions CAN be measured."... Not directly. What are you really measuring when you measure the "action" of someone waving their hand? You're measuring the location of where their hand is at one second, and then the next second, and another, and another. You are watching the change in location as seen across a specific span of time. THAT, however, is not an action. It's a location. It's a set of locations, to be exact.
This is why, for me as a magician, the appearance of teleportation is possible within my acts. If you cannot measure the location of a card properly, then you cannot measure my actions of moving the card properly. Knowing how people measure your actions is the entire foundation of teleporting magic. In order to keep your actions from being observed, while still doing them, you have to know how people measure those actions. If you know what measurements they use, then you know how to avoid them, and so you can create the illusion that you never did anything at all, and yet the card appears across the room. This makes the audience question if it happened through some otherworldly force.
Actions are not measured directly. Again, it's like the IQ test. For an IQ test, you can measure the number of answers someone gets right compared to wrong, and infer an amount of intelligence from there, but you're not measuring intelligence directly. You're only measuring the ratio between correct answers and incorrect answers.
Why did I bring up the IQ Test AGAIN you ask? Do I not know that it's gotten overused and painfully repetitive?
No. I do.
I brought it up one last time, in this book, to make a final point.
Some people claim that intelligence includes "problem-solving", or "critical thinking." In fact, critical thinking is considered one of the nine major traits that are often tested for in a standard IQ test. Still, if that's the case, and thinking is a form of intelligence, then my definition of wisdom is wrong, and this chapter would be seen as obsolete, or at the very least, as already having been examined.
EXCEPT...
If thinking includes asking the right question, if it includes being able to develop your own correct process, and only then to find the answer...
Why does a standard IQ test not make you show your work, and make you show only the answer?
AND
Why don't you get to write your own questions for others to answer?
If you used your own method, for example, one that hadn't been seen before... how would they measure its value even if they did see it?
If you can't measure the newest, most original, and, to an extent (some may say), the most intelligent methods, but consider the ability to create a process and follow it through, a highly important part of intelligence...
What is an IQ test actually good for?
If the process of "Thinking critically" was so important, then why not ask to see the process? Are they just going to assume that you used one that they know about? That's a pretty big undefined variable, to be assumed and not measured if we're here to have used a scientific method.
It is a matter of fact, and I will say again, that intelligence, according to modern standards, is about knowing What to think, as an answer, without any real emphasis at all on knowing How to think, with your questions; and therefore, thought processes.
And so, for the sake of not disagreeing with our masterful psychologists, this site will state that knowing how to think is a long-lost art form that we will call wisdom.
But, back to the actions:
In the case of physical actions, people often measure the start and the end locations, as well as every location in between, at any given time. In terms of mental actions, people use different measurements (Which fake psychics avoid to seem omnipotent *Cough* *Cough*.) So again, wisdom is the action of moving the mental building blocks around, but it is not the final creation (that's a new idea, a form of intellect), and it's not the blocks themselves (those are believed facts, or yet another form of intellect.) Again, wisdom is simply an action. It's an ever-expanding list of processes that your mind can go through.
If 1 Intellect + 1 Intellect = 2 Intellect
Then wisdom is understanding, creating, and correctly solving, math equations. If you know how to make your own "equations" and then are able to "solve" them, you have wisdom. If you can commit to complex mental actions with absolute ease and confidence, then you are extremely wise. In the exact case of this analogy, you would have the wisdom to literally create your own math equations, and then solve them, literally. I was toying around with the idea of algebra in 2nd grade. Although I didn't know that's what it was. I was writing things like 2 + ? = 4, and solving for the "?". I didn't even think to use letters, mainly because I was only solving for one variable at a time. I "created" algebra, just by understanding how math works, and using my wisdom to build on what I already knew, from there.
When we were born, I hypothesize that we were all born with absolute wisdom, but some people have different types. Some may have exponents at birth, which would be much harder to know how to use, leading to fewer forms of wisdom being converted from it, and less intellect being developed within their lives. The problem that I’m faced with, the unexamined anomaly or abnormality that bothers me here, is that our society seems so obsessed with teaching us facts, and doesn't spend enough time showing us how to reshape and combine them. To me, our culture has seemingly forgotten the very existence of wisdom.
We’ll discuss the importance of having wisdom in the next chapter, but perhaps the most frightening thing for me right now, is that intellect doesn’t seem to have any clear path to wisdom. Anyone can have 1 option, and be given 2 more, from some stranger, but it takes a certain type of person to realize that their options just tripled and that they should make their move now, before it’s too late.
When we were born, we had no intelligence in our minds, so far as I can tell. We were merely given new intelligence by our surroundings. Like how, as we watched our parents talk, we heard sounds coming out of their mouths.
That’s “+ 1 Intellect”, Humans can make sounds with their mouths. Perhaps later you realize that you’re similar to them. “+ 1 Intellect”, You are similar to Mama and Dada. The wisdom is this: Mama and Dada can make sounds (1 Intellect) plus I’m similar to Mama and Dada (another 1 Intellect) = Hey! Lemme try seeing if I can make sounds too!!! (2 Intellect). See? That's a whole new idea that's been created. Wisdom can gain you more intellect with relative ease.
The problem with adults is that intellect is rather slow-moving. It’s a solid. It's a fact. It doesn't change. It doesn't move, but wisdom is all about movement. It needs to be, to go about its creation. If you wish to reach new heights or discover new things, the resilience, and swiftness of wisdom is essential. In order to progress down any path, movement is required, and wisdom is the art of mental movement. Like cement mix being added to water, too much focus on intellect can slow down the ability to use your wisdom, if not added properly (or, improperly, in this case), and just because Intellect can grow doesn’t necessarily mean that wisdom can’t.
Think of it like a ratio. Let’s say that you were given 100 wisdom tokens at birth, but you were born with no intellect tokens. That's 0 Intellect for every 100 Wisdom. This allows for the wisdom to be free-moving and boundless, like a free-spirited child, constantly getting into new things and being eager to learn more. More, more, so much more! In this way, your wisdom will help you find facts and opinions, (your own, personal, intelligence). Eventually, your focus on intellect will reach... ohhhh... let's say... 50 intellect points, through your parents, your wisdom, your schools, and so much more. That means it’s a focus of 50 Intellect for every 100 Wisdom, and if we’re using cement mix, that means that our wisdom has become quite a bit slower, if not kept stirring and alive. Then, focus on your intellect dips again, as you realize that you don't NEED to know everything in life. You care less about studying and more about living, and then the tokens will dip to about... let’s say an example of 20 Intellect. I’m fairly certain you know what that means. Yep, you’ve become wise again. Congratulations! You’re a wise elder (So long as you don't believe that your old age means that you know everything).
I’d dare to even say that the defining quality needed to develop a high IQ isn’t just to build up your intelligence at a young age, but also to nurture, care for, and keep your wisdom. However, perhaps not all people were born with the same amount of wisdom, and these people are simply at a loss. The world can be quite unfair that way, you know?
I don't like to think of that as a possibility, though, mainly because that was told to me for years since birth, and if I had listened, I wouldn't have become the successful man that I am today. I wouldn't even have the ability to write this site, let alone go out and speak about it publicly. Again, as it was discussed in The Introduction, I was born with autism, and the general consensus from all professionals was "Author, you're not able to socialize like everyone else. You may never be able to. You're just going to have to learn how to live with that."
Essentially, what they were saying was that I couldn't take the usual pieces from social interactions, and place them in a way that allowed for further development within my own mind, so that way I could become a fully functioning adult. They basically told me that I didn't have the wisdom to build up my own, long-lasting, relationships. Clearly, if you've been reading this long, chances are you believe me to be at least somewhat wise, or socially aware. I don't mean to brag... but, I consider that true, too. I had wisdom. It was just a VERY different type from the average person's. That's not to say that it was better than others. It may even be far worse. All that I know is that it's different. Technically, they were right. To this day, I still do not socialize like others. That's... that's the whole point of this book, after all. I'm writing here to teach MY way of socializing, as someone who has learned to love others, in spite of being scorned by almost everyone since birth. I'm a master of loving another human being, without asking for anything in return, because no matter how much I asked, they never loved me back.
I got used to it, and, funny enough, instead of making me hate humanity, for all of its pain, its torture, its blatant disregard for me and my self-worth...
I love you all, and now that I'm used to using my love, as a gift for all mankind, rather than a trade, I can say that... I suppose... your hatred... and your lack of love for me, is exactly what makes me a master, of the self-love, that I'm promoting in this book, today.
I do not socialize in the same way everyone else, but that's not to say that I have no wisdom. A juggler without arms may not be able to juggle with his hands, but with practice, he should be able to juggle a soccer ball with his feet. My wisdom was behind a door that started off locked, and none of the "normal" keys from an "average person" were gonna get it open for me. And so, I just had to make a key of my own. That, in fact, is the epitome of wisdom. New information that comes from an older, or more traditional source isn't "new information". It's just "information," plain and simple. You need to take it, add to it, or, as I did, subtract from it, and start anew, in order for any real progress to be made. To be fair, though, whether I'm progressing towards the peak of intelligence, or the pits of idiocy is up to more than just you or me. Nobody has the right to tell you what you're capable of, but reality itself. All we can do is wait, because actions speak louder than words, but results speak louder still. So let us wait, and hope that our results are kind.
In any case, I still believe that children are the wisest among us, because they’ve taken such small amounts of intelligence, and used them to become fully functioning adults (at least, if done properly). I only learned how to do the things that people had listed as impossible for me because I had completely embraced my childish side. Childhood wisdom isn't as much a key, as it is a very strong sledgehammer. It's one of the most potent and powerful forms of wisdom that I've ever come across. By keeping it with me longer, purposely looking directly at it, and soaking it all in, I was able to better myself beyond anyone's expectations; even my own.
Maybe you can, too.
